Beyond Meat adds electric trucks to its fleet to help power the shipping network

Plant-based protein maker Beyond Meat has formed a partnership with Einride to provide it with electric trucks and charging stations for its supply chain. This comes after a similar move by GE Appliances, Maersk and Oatley in relation to the Sweden-based EV manufacturer. The first phase of this collaboration would see the deployment of five e-trucks across North America. This plays into the company’s goal of a sustainable future. According to the company, incorporation across operations is the key to the goal. Einride is set to scale e-trucks connected to its in-house data platform across Beyond Meat’s U.S. operations over the next five years.
