Catalonia creates its own metaverse named Cataverse

Daniel Marco, the director-general of innovation at Catalonia unveiled the government’s plan to build a Catalonian metaverse named Cataverse. Initially, the SmartCatalonia Government strategy was focused on the transformation of Catalonia into a smart country. But with the advent of blockchain and metaverse, the government is aiming to establish a fully digital economy inspired by the real world, making Barcelona a digital hub of talent and skills. Macro further revealed that the government is trying to offer a blend of new talent and a friendly working environment to the businesses in the Cataverse.
