General Mills is working on a multi-year plan with the Ecosystem Services Market Consortium (ESMC) to expand Eco-Harvest. Eco-harvest is a programme that benefits farmers in the US and Canada for beneficial outcomes of regenerative agricultural practices, including improved water quality and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. General Mills is investing $3 million to support the programme and scale the development of regional farming programmes. This investment and collaboration with ESMC will help General Mills advance its regenerative agriculture vision, reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
