Snacks company Mondelēz has been using technology like AI, robotics, and data analytics for improved product recommendations, increased sales, better business planning, and monitoring the health of cocoa trees. Using historical sales records, an automation platform is used to offer products for retailers. The company’s six centres of excellence are focused on technologies like extended reality, blockchain, natural language processing, drones, computer vision, and low-code/no-code development. Microsoft Power Apps and Quickbase enable business teams to become citizen developers and build their own applications, facilitating approval workflows. 100 citizen developers across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa regions are developing their own applications. Mondelēz’s data hub has been set up in less than six months and ingests data from different sources across the organisation to deliver new capabilities. This helps drive growth.
