Reckitt Benckiser and Mondi have collaborated to produce paper-based packaging for the dishwasher detergent brand Finish. It plans to cut nearly 2,000 tonnes of plastic every year, which equates to 50 million 1-litre bottles. Reckitt’s environmental goal is to cut virgin plastic packaging in half by 2030. Reckitt Benckiser and Mondi have collaborated to create a paper-based packaging solution for Henkel’s Somat 4in1 dishwashing capsules. Greiner Packaging used 50% post-consumer recycled PP in a cardboard-plastic hybrid solution for the Finish Quantum Ultimate dishwashing tablet range earlier. Mondi believes in utilising paper wherever possible and plastic when necessary. Reckitt and Mondi also collaborated on a mono-material, recyclable flexible plastic packaging portfolio for the Finish Quantum Ultimate dishwasher tablet line.
