Nestle USA is harnessing its 30,000-person staff to stimulate new ideas. Its New Business Ventures section collaborates with teams across the company to support “what if” ideas, offering knowledge on early-stage trends to test new goods and business models that appeal to customers’ changing interests. Nestle’s open-channel innovation platform has resulted in the launch of roughly two dozen products, including its Outshine Smoothie Cubes, which is the most recent venture into the frozen smoothie market. Nestle New Business Ventures is also focused on redesigning key brands to better suit the demands of consumers. Another purpose is to investigate new business models. Nestle New Business Ventures tested a delivery service concept for freshly made Toll House cookies this year, bringing warm goodies straight to Washington residents’ doorsteps. In 2023, it intends to investigate prospects in smart vending and tailored nutrition. The team will also attempt to collaborate with emerging technology businesses to develop improved customer support solutions.
