AI and Robotics: Walmart has introduced innovative digital experiences for several years, including augmented reality (AR) that include shoppable content partnerships, the ability to buy products directly from their TVs, and launch of shoppable Livestream on Twitter.
Sustainability: In a bid to replace the aluminium-based barrier, Tetra Pak is testing fibre-based layer in its cartons because aluminium contributes to carbon emissions while being not a favourite with recyclers.
Consumer Trends: LinkedIn recently launched a list of the five best CPG companies featuring PepsiCo, AB InBev, Reckitt, Colgate-Palmolive, and Danone.
Direct to Consumer: American consumers have lost interest in a once-novel business model which includes DTC brands like Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, Stitch Fix, as only 14% are actively shopping for a product subscription now.
Supply Chain: In accordance with PepsiCo’s Racial Equality Journey that commenced in 2020, it intends to spend $400 million with Black and Hispanic suppliers every year.
Metaverse: Unilever placed focus on inclusivity, decentralisation, and utility in its user interface and advanced in the virtual world with its Web3 Collective platform developed to answer problems regarding metaverse and Web3 space.
